In July 2018, the sisters of Our Lady of Kilimanjaro extended our mission by establishing the Northwestern Province. We congratulate the former Provincial General, Mother Benjamina Buya CDNK, and her administrative team, for their incredible hardworking during their past four years, as they now hand over the office to the new leaders. According to our constitution, the provincial leaders run the office for four years. 

The Northwestern Province held the Second General Meeting at Igoma in the Catholic Archdiocese of Mwanza from August 8, to 23, 2023 followed by the election of the new leaders.  The new Provincial Superior and her counselors were elected on August 22, 2023, and canonically inaugurated on August 23, 2023.  The new team of leaders is comprised of:  

• Sr. Anastasia Protas Salla CDNK - Provincial General
• Sr. Vicentina Emmanuel Ngandu CDNK – Provincial General Assistant
• Sr. Angelo Njeri Njau CDNK – Provincial Counselor
• Sr. Emmanuela Emil Mallya CDNK – Counselor.

 With humble hearts, the new leaders surrendered themselves to the will of God, and courageously accepted their new assignment, by emulating the Blessed Virgin Mary,  “Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord, may it be done to me according to your word.” (Lk. 1: 26-38).
 
All the CDNK sisters congratulate these Provincial leaders and pray for brilliant achievement in their new office. We congratulate Mother Theresa Buretta CDNK, the Superior General, and her administrative team for this great accomplishment, and the countless successes in the Congregation.
