CDNK Sisters Extend Their Services With The Founding Of The Northeastern Province In Moshi Diocese
Three years ago, the CDNK sisters officially opened the first Province, Northwest of Tanzania, with its headquarters in the Archdiocese of Mwanza. As the congregation grows and its mission expands, this year (2024) there has been a need to open a second province, in the Northeast of Tanzania.
The new leadership team of this Northeastern Province is as follows:
Sr. Theonestina Kavishe – Provincial Superior
Sr. Lucretia Njau – Assistant Provincial Superior
Sr. Mayola Massawe – Counselor
Sr. Maria Yohani Meney – CounselorThe province was commissioned on the Feast of Saints Peter and Paul, June 29, 2024.These two apostles are the prominent pillars of the Catholic Church. Peter preached the Gospel to God’s chosen people – the Israelites, and Paul preached to the gentiles, thus fulfilling Jesus’ command to bring the Good News to the whole world (Mark 16:15). They both worked tirelessly to unite God’s people as one family. Our founders, Most Reverend Bishop Hendry Gogarty C.S. Sp and Mother Felicitas Tirpitz C.P.S. adapted this mission as their motto. And so, the CDNK sisters are committed to spread the Gospel across the globe since the day they were founded in 1931.
Members of the CDNK sisters congratulate the Congregation’s present leadership, Mother Theresa Buretta CDNK and her counselors, for their hard work and their creativity in managing the foundation of the two provinces during their term of office.
May the Good Lord bless and abundantly reward the CDNK founders, Bishop Hendry Gogarty, Mother Felicitas, and all the leaders who have run the office in the Congregation, and in particular the present leaders, Mother Theresa Buretta and her leadership team. Good luck to the leaders of the CDNK Northeastern and the Northwestern Provinces. May the Good Lord shower upon you abundant blessings and graces which are needed to bare many fruits in serving the congregation, the Church, and all God’s people.

CDNK Sisters from Northwestern Province Arrive Bearing Gifts

The CDNK Sisters from the Northwestern Province traveled more than 700 miles with special gifts for the new Northeastern Province. They brought everything needed to get the operation off the ground, including bedding and household items. They even brought items of cultural significance in the Northwestern Region, including fish!
